yeah, i'm not sure that leaving a light off reduces your "carbon footprint" by a ton, but it does save a tiny amount of energy.

being a vegetarian isn't really environmentally friendly. if we were all vegetarians, there would be an overpopulation of animals, and eventually plant life would be scarce. this would decrease oxygen in the atmosphere, and make the world a dangerous place to live in.

not trying to start an argument or anything, just sayin'.

i agree with you about the prawn thing, though. it's a common enough food allergy that they should warn people.

It's good to be concerned. I've wanted to go vegetarian myself, but I'm naturally very skinny (5'5, 93lbs) and if I don't get enough protein and such I begin to feel the effects very quickly.

Thanks for the welcome. :)

I'm hearing a lot about environmental degradation in my global warming class. It only covers the effects of carbon emissions on ecosystems and global climate systems, but there's still A LOT of potential for damage in the future. The reason why people are so stupid about the environment sometimes is they live with the idea that "it'll never happen in my life time, so why should I care?" One of my friends said that the other day and I got kinda pissed. It's sooooo ignorant and, honestly, pretty stupid.
